PORTO’S clash with Estoril was abandoned after away fans were forced to evacuate the stands in safety fears.
Cracks began to appear on the terraces at Estadio Antonio Coimbra da Mota and authorities ushered the supporters onto the pitch to avoid a major accident.

The stadium was built in 1939 but the away end was only recently built.
Security officials urged the 2,500 or so Porto fans in attendance to leave the stand and they headed for the pitch.
After a long delay at half-time the match was eventually abandoned over safety and security problems.

There were no injuries reported as of Monday night with a major disaster avoided.
A statement from Estoril read: “After meetings between representatives from Estoril, Porto, the Portuguese League and security forces, it was decided that security conditions were not met for the game to continue.
“The interruption is linked to the fact that part of the North stand of the Estadio Antonio Coimbra da Mota lowered in the middle, which caused some alarm and led the authorities to safely evacuate the whole stand in question.”
The hosts were beating Porto 1-0 thanks to Eduardo’s free-kick when the visiting fans were ushered onto the pitch.
