Messi played his part in the only goal of the game after his free-kick was turned into his own net by ex-Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates.
And one super fan in the stand also had a night to remember when he got to share a few words with the Argentine ace.
Breaking through security, the young supporter sprinted over to Messi where the two embraced like long lost friends.
Messi then had his hand at the back of the invader's head as the duo had a conversation.
As security made their way onto the field, the youngster bowed down to Messi and kissed his left boot.
The Barca hero could only smile as the pitch invader was carried off the field.
