Philippe Coutinho calms Liverpool fans’ fears as he confirms injury ‘isn’t serious’ after being forced off in win over Watford
PHILIPPE COUTINHO says his injury “isn’t serious” after he limped off in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Watford.
The Brazilian lasted just 13 minutes of the Vicarage Road clash after coming off worse in a challenge with Hornets defender Adrian Mariappa.

Coutinho, 24, received treatment on his right thigh on the pitch and attempted to play on – before ultimately being replaced by returning Adam Lallana.
But the Barcelona target was quick to allay fears he could face a spell on the sidelines as he posted a picture with Can on Instagram after the game.

Coutinho wrote: “Thanks to all for the support. It isn’t serious.”
Liverpool are already without key personnel such as Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson, while England international Lallana was making his first appearance in more than five weeks after a thigh problem.
And boss Jurgen Klopp can ill afford another important absentee during the closing weeks of the season as they chase a top four spot in the Premier League.
