PGA Tour star Billy Horschel blasts fellow pros for snubbing late legend Arnold Palmer’s tournament
PGA TOUR pro Billy Horschel has slammed his fellow stars for snubbing late legend Arnold Palmer’s annual tournament – the first one following his death.
The former FedEx Cup winner urged his pals to “honour an icon” as it emerged just ten of the world’s top 25 had committed to next week’s Invitational.

One of those not expected to be in Florida is world No 1 Dustin Johnson.
And Horschel tweeted his sadness at so many players not being willing to pay tribute to The King.
He said: “Disappointing. Totally understand schedule issues. But first year without AP. Honour an icon! Without him wouldn’t be in position we are today.”
And former Open champion Louis Oosthuizen backed Horschel’s sentiment.
He said: “I think it’s a great way to say thank you to Mr Palmer for everything he’s done in golf.
“I love the golf course, and I wanted to work it back in. I just think it’s a tournament that, if you can, you should play it every year.
Billy Horschel has called one more of his fellow pros to support the late Arnold Palmer’s eventEPA

As did last year's Open winner Henrik Stenson. He said: "There's going to be some special tributes to Palmer's life and honour.
"We're putting some umbrellas on our bags and things like that.
"I'm sure it's going to be a great week and we're going to do our best to honour him throughout the week."
