After both fighters weighed in, it was the usual fun and games as the pair squared up to each other to get up close and personal and exchange verbals.

However, McDonagh, 39, crossed the line as the Irishman went for Singleton attempting to grab him around the throat.

The fighter were separated by security who swifly stepped in to stop the whole event descended into chaos at the Manchester Town Hall.

The pushing and shoving continued as Fury faced off with Parker ahead of the biggest fight of his life in his hometown.

Fury, looking to win back the belt stripped from his cousin Tyson started mouthing off in a tense exchange, then the champion started to make hand gestures to the Brit telling him to calm down.

The 23-year-old contender pushed the champion in his chest and again security were forced to step in.

The bust-up was a surprise as both camps looked relaxed and respectful to each other at yesterday's final press conference ahead of the fight.

The champion said: "All the talk has been done,It's time to get in the ring and do my thing.

“I’m ready, prepared and powerful. He wants to knock me out, I'm going to knock him out.

"I feel the UK is where the heavyweight scene is at. We want to be a part of it.

"It's important to make a statement and there is no better way against a young, hungry fighter like Hughie."
