OXFORD are in talks with Dutch legend Patrick Kluivert about becoming their new boss.
New financial backer Sumrith Thanakarnjanasuth wants Kluivert to join the League One outfit and hopes to tie up a deal this week.
Kluivert had a top playing career with the likes of Ajax and AC Milan and he was a stand out for Holland.
But his coaching spells have brought mixed success. His last job was as director of football at Paris Saint-German.
However Thanakarnjanasuth thinks Kluivert will bring the type of expertise and glamour to the post that he wants at the club where he has just invested.
Oxford have been speaking to David Unsworth, Craig Bellamy and Alan Stubbs as they looked for a manager. However Kluivert is now their choice.
And while there is a split about the idea within the camp the new money man is close to getting his way.
