AN IRANIAN TV channel blurred out part of Roma’s badge during their Champions League quarter-final clash with Barcelona.
The Giallorossi’s emblem displays the historic image of Romulus and Remus sucking on a she-wolf’s nipples on a red and yellow background.

It is a representation of the ancient tale which depicts the founding of Rome, and is the most famous symbol of the city’s mythology.
However, an Iranian TV channel was not happy with the image and blurred out the she-wolf’s teats in the backdrop behind the presenter. The decision was roundly mocked.
Iranian sports journalist Mehdi Rostampour posted on his Telegram channel: “In 3,000 years, Remus and Romulus were only deprived of their mother’s milk.
“But Iran’s state broadcaster deprived them of even a wolf’s milk.”

What does Roma's emblem mean?
MYTHICAL infant brothers Romulus and Remus were thrown ino the River Tiber by their uncle, King Amulius, who saw them as a threat to his rule.
A she-wolf — know as the Capitoline Wolf — saves them and raises them as her own, which is where the famous image comes from.
Romulus is then believed to have killed his brother Remus — though some accounts claim it had been one of his followers.
And from there, Romulus found the city of Rome.

Unfortunately for Roma, that was just one of a number things that went wrong for them at the Nou Camp.
Despite performing admirably in a match they were expected to lose heavily in, they found themselves 2-0 down after two own goals.

And, after Gerard Pique increased Barcelona‘s advantage, Roma thought they had kept the tie alive when Edin Dzeko pulled one back.
However, Luis Suarez struck late on to make it 4-1 and effectively end the quarter-final as a contest.
