OHARA DAVIES could be forced into retirement if he loses his career-defining bout against Tom Farrell, according to former opponent Derry Mathews.
The Hackney scrapper heads into the ring on Saturday on the back of a shock defeat to Josh Taylor.

All eyes will remain on Davies with the WBA international super-lightweight title on the line.
And Mathews believes this could be his last chance to claim a world title because Davies will walk away from the sport.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “I think if Ohara Davies gets beat, we won’t see him in a ring again.
“He’ll walk away. I don’t know whether it’s his ego, or does he believe he’s better than what he is?
“He believes he’s world level and if he gets beat on Saturday, he’s not world level, so where does he go?”
Davies will be thrown in the lions den when he heads to Farrell’s hometown of Liverpool.

And Mathews believes he could be in for a long night with the crowd right behind Farrell.
He added: "With the reputation, the mouth he's got, he's really got to establish something on Saturday
"Let everyone know that he wants to be here for a long time.
"At the same time, he's fighting a very good fighter in Tom Farrell, and Tom's in his hometown. After the abuse Ohara Davies gave me in Liverpool, I think he's in for a bad night with the crowd."
