Novak Djokovic beats American Donald Young in straight sets at Eastbourne to continue Wimbledon preparations
NOVAK DJOKOVIC kept up his Wimbledon preparations by seeing off Yank Donald Young to make the Eastbourne semis.
The world No4, making his bow at the seaside tournament, made light work of the first set before edging a tie-break in the clincher to triumph 6-2 7-6.

He is now set to face another American in fourth seed Steve Johnson in the last four, provided the Californian can negotiate his way past Daniil Medvedev.
Djokovic was in a relaxed and playful mood again as he continued to enjoy his time down on the English riviera.
He raced through the first set in 26 minutes, before amusing the crowd by flexing his bicep after receiving wolf whistles as he swapped his shirt at the change-over.
Former Wimbo junior champ Young called for the trainer at the end of the first set due to a bad lower back and at that point most spectators assumed Djokovic would romp to glory.
But it was harder than anticipated as Young fought-back, and even broke to go 5-4 up before Djokovic broke straight back.
The marathon second set, which lasted 69 minutes, was settled on a tie-break, with Young blowing a set point.

Djokovic eventually prevailed on his fourth match point as his serve proved too powerful for Young.
The 12-Slam winner seems to be enjoying himself down on the coast and few would bet against him scooping the title come the weekend in what would be an ideal set-up for SW19.
