It took until the 66th minute for the opening goal of the game, with Johansen tapping home into an empty net.

The Norwegian international was quickest to react to the ball after Angus Gunn parried Aleksandar Mitrovic’s header into the path of the former Celtic ace.

And it didn’t take long for the Cottagers to double their lead, as Cairney lashed home a strike low into the bottom right corner.

The 27-year-old banged in his third goal in four games for Fulham with a delightful first-time finish.
