Nice president slams Barcelona for breaking Jean Michael Seri’s heart over failed move for star
THE Nice president has claimed Barcelona have left Jean Michael Seri brokenhearted after they failed to follow through with their attempted bid for him.
While Jean Pierre Riviere will clearly be glad Seri is to remain at the French side but he still sympathises with the talented midfielder.

It seems almost certain now that the Ivorian will not get his dream move, judging by Riviere’s latest comments.
He said: “Seri is extremely disappointed about this situation and rightly so.
“I will express myself very strongly after this window.”
Riviere was most likely just as annoyed as Seri by Barcelona’s failure to complete the deal.
It meant his club missed out on the massive £50million transfer fee that was attached to the player.
Barcelona initially offered £25m but were unwilling to meet Nice’s £50m asking price.

Barca had planned to offer £30m for the player but instead opted to sign ex-Tottenham midfielder Paulinho in one of the shock transfers of the summer.
While the Brazilian was not the first choice of many of the Barcelona faithful, his signing more or less ruled out Seri’s arrival.
The Catalan club have since moved on to boosting their striking options following Neymar’s move to PSG, buying Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund and chasing Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho.
