ALEKSANDAR MITROVIC is closing in on a move from Newcastle to former club Anderlecht.
The Belgian side have agreed terms on a deal to take the towering striker on loan until the end of season.

Sky Sports claim that the Serbian rejected offers from Bordeaux and Hamburg to join Anderlecht.
Newcastle rejected an offer from Brighton for the 23-year-old last week.
Toon chiefs did not want to sell to a relegation rival and felt the £8m bid was way below their valuation.
Mitrovic has not started a Premier League game this season and has been ruled out in recent weeks with a back injury.

With the World Cup in mind, he was desperate for more match action to secure his spot in Serbia’s squad this summer.
Now he is heading back to his old employers, having moved to Newcastle for £13m from Anderlecht in 2015.

And earlier this week he missed out on Daniel Sturridge as the Liverpool star opted to join West Brom on loan instead.
But they have agreed with Leicester City to bring Islam Slimani to Tyneside.

Toon chiefs have beaten West Ham in the race to secure the Algerian star.
Slimani, 29, suffered a thigh injury in training this week and will be sidelined for at least two weeks.
But that has not put off Newcastle, who are expected to confirm the deal before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
