NEWCASTLE boss Rafa Benitez is reportedly wanted by Spanish outfit Real Sociedad.
The Mirror claims Benitez is being lined up for a return to La Liga following his two years at St James’ Park.

The former Real Madrid boss is believed to be unhappy with Toon owner Mike Ashley due to a lack of backing in the transfer window.
Funds are tight on Tyneside and Benitez has been unable to secure the big signings he targeted following promotion from the Championship last season.
He’s already said to be asking for more transfer money as Newcastle look to survive their relegation dogfight.
But Sociedad could provide Benitez with exactly what he needs after securing their La Liga safety.

David Moyes’ former players have been well below par in the current campaign and rest 15th in the table.
But Sociedad believe Benitez is a miracle worker and will give them a good chance of moving upwards in the immediate future.

In the meantime, the Liverpool icon is hoping to secure more targets for Newcastle, explaining: “It’s not always a question of money. That doesn’t always make the difference when it comes to signing the players you need.
“In January, when we were talking, we said we need a goalkeeper, a winger and a striker. That is what we did, and you can see the difference. It is about doing the right things at the right time.”
