Al Horford is excited about Boston’s clash with Philadelphia in London… but not as much as his wife.
The Celtics take on the 76ers at the O2 Arena on January 11 in the latest NBA regular-season game in the UK.

Horford missed out when his Atlanta Hawks played the Brooklyn Nets in London in 2014 due to injury.
He explained: “I didn’t play with the Hawks that year because I was injured, but I have been to London and it’s a city my wife and I really love.
“When I found out that we were going to play in London, my wife right away said she was on the trip.
“We’re looking forward to going and hopefully we’ll go to a Premier League match if the schedule allows.
“We’ve done the double-decker buses and we’ve got to get some fish and chips while we’re there.
“There’s a lot to do out there so she will be very happy.”
The Celtics star married Dominican actress, model and former Miss Universe Amelia Vega in 2011.
Horford has been key in Boston’s success early this season, which includes two wins over the 76ers.

The 31-year-old is confident the Celtics will grow into title contenders as their young players mature and gain more experience.
“We’re a team that plays great defence,” Horford said.

“We move the ball around great. We have great individual players, an amazing dunker in Jaylen Brown and a playmaker in Kyrie Irving.”
“We just have weapons. We’re a team that’s up and coming and I feel like our style of play will appeal to the fans.
“We’re trying to build something special and grow as a group and hopefully in another year we’ll be in a position where we’re there.”
