MANCHESTER UNITED fans unveiled a “Cut down in their prime” banner as they arrived in Germany for the 60th anniversary of the Munich air disaster.
Supporters are gathering to commemorate the crash that killed 23 people, including eight stars of a young side who seemed set to dominate English and possibly European football.

United paid tribute at Saturday’s 2-0 Premier League win over Huddersfield, ahead of Tuesday’s events in Munich.
And today fans posted photos on social media as they arrived in the German city.
But some pictures were marred by sick messages from others, provoking angry responses from United supporters and respectful football followers around the world.
Supporters also remembered the disaster when they visited Old Trafford on Saturday, massing outside Old Trafford to leave flowers and read a poem, The Flowers Of Manchester.

The words recall the Busby Babes, whose immense potential will be speculated upon endlessly.
Old Trafford boss Jose Mourinho said: “This is part of my life, my football culture, because it was such a tragedy.
“As Manchester United manager, it obviously means much more.”

And in a special pack given out in the weekend matchday programme, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward said “(Munich) is forever woven into the fabric of this club’s history.
“It’s our responsibility today to ensure that their loss is remembered.”

But many fans were angered on Monday by revelations some online sellers have tried to make big profits by flogging the match-pack, one person even wanting £100.
As supporters hit back, one said: “A kind gesture by Manchester United and yet there are scum out there wanting to make a profit from it.”
Another added: “Anyone who is selling those commemorative Munich programmes on eBay. No class ladies and gents. No class.”
