MR LUPTON came from last to first to record a remarkable win in the Charity Sprint at York.
It was a vintage Jamie Spencer ride with Spencer producing him to perfection to wear down Dancing Star in the closing stages.

Richard Fahey’s sprinter was burdened with top weight, but nothing was stopping him as he powered home.
Spencer said: “He’s a grand horse, he just didn’t handle the track at Newmarket last time. We thought getting him back on a flat track would be a big advantage to him.
“It was a deep race, we probably had a bit of an advantage being drawn where we were, but at the end of the day he’s carried 9st 7lb against unexposed horses.
“Like all good horses they feel they’re not going as fast as you’d like them to, and today he’s shown he’s probably a Group horse.
“He’s one to look forward to and not surprisingly Richard Fahey has trained him to perfection.”
