MOTOR-RACING has rarely seen such a crazy, hot-headed smash as this.
Angry teenager Aron Canet is seen zooming after rival Makar Yurchenko in Moto3 practice and appearing to deliberately smash both of them off the track.
“What an absolute idiot!” and “You cannot take another rider out!” were among the responses from amazed commentators on BT Sport.
Canet, 18, is many people’s tip to land the title as he is the highest-ranked competitor from 2017 still in the class.
Yurchenko, meanwhile, is making history as Kazakhstan’s first ever Grand Prix rider.
Canet was runner-up in the Moto3 opener in Qatar three weeks ago, so things were revving up nicely for this second GP.

But no-one could have predicted how events roared out of control at the Santiago del Estero track in Argentina.
Canet was soon irked by rookie Yurchenko appearing to take his line as they roared round the outside.
The Spaniard slowed up and waved his arm furiously as Yurchenko sped off.
But Estrella Galicia starlet Canet soon got his head down to roar off after his rival.

Then, as they entered the straight, Canet veered several metres across to the left, taking out both of them.
They crashed off onto the gravel, both bikes and bodies skidding and spinning away.
CIP rider Yurchenko got up and remonstrated in amazement, before they walked off to their teams.

BT Sport commentators actually called the incident seconds before it happened.
Sensing Canet’s feelings after the initial exchange, one commentator urged the young rider to be “respectful”.
But the TV pundit added: “I’ve got a feeling he’s not going to be. He’s just going to dive straight at him..”
And when their prewdiction proved right, one commentator yelled: “That’s naughty! He did that on purpose.”
And his partner reacted: “What’s an absolute idiot. That was just wrong.”
The duo added: “Can you believe what we just witnessed here?

“Now if I’m an official here, whatever’s the biggest penalty you can give out, Aron Canet should get that.
“You cannot take another rider out. We called it.”
And the backlash on social media was equally furious.
