Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe has promised he will have an even better season next year after firing his side to the Ligue 1 title
MONACO star Kylian Mbappe has vowed to be even better next season after leading his side to a historic Ligue 1 title.
The 18-year-old has emerged as the most exciting young striker in world football and netted once again in yesterday’s 2-0 win against St-Etienne.

Leonardo Jardim’s men clinched a first French top-flight championship since 2000, and ended Paris Saint-Germain’s run of four consecutive titles.
Mbappe is being chased by Europe’s top clubs after his sensational season, with Real Madrid reported to be the favourites for his signature, while the striker himself is believed to have rejected moves to Manchester United and Barcelona.
Only last year was the French international competing in the Coupe Gambardella – a tournament held by the country’s Under-19 clubs.
Speaking to Canal+, he said: “After the victory in Gambardella, my mother told me: ‘It’s all very well, but it’s with the kids.’

Mbappe has netted 26 times in 43 appearances in all competitions this season, where he also spearheaded Monaco into the Champions League semi-finals where they lost to Juventus.
The teenager spoke of his elation at capturing the Ligue 1 title, he added: "I am very happy, we wanted it from the beginning, and it's done.
"We have given ourselves the means of our ambitions, and in football, when we give ourselves the means, it is always less difficult.
"Now we're going to celebrate, and when the euphoria comes down, we'll have to get back to work: football is an eternal challenge.
"It will be necessary immediately to recover to be at least as efficient. Football goes fast but it can go quickly in both directions."
