Mike Tyson refused entry to Chile because of his criminal record for rape

CHILEAN police stopped Mike Tyson from entering the country.

They cited non-compliance with immigration laws and were putting him on a flight home.

The former world heavyweight champion was planning to attend an awards ceremony for action films taking place in Chile‘s capital Santiago.

Police posted a photo of Tyson walking in an airport with two cops.

They said: “Detectives from the International Police are re-boarding Mike Tyson for not complying with immigration law.

“Upon review of his record, and as authorised by current immigration law, all foreigners who have been convicted or prosecuted for any crime may have their entry into the country impeded.

He was originally sentenced to six years after sexually assaulting a teenage beauty-pageant contestant.

In 2013, he was forced to scrap promotional appearances in London because the convictions barred him from entering Britain.
