Let’s start with the 1.50pm, a handicap over an extended 1m2f.
There’s no doubt if there is a real improver in the field it has to be KHAIRAAT, representing the powerful stable of Sir Michael Stoute.
He looked good at Doncaster last season and has the best draw.
PA
It’s the Huxley Stakes, a Group 3 over an extended 1m2f at 2.25pm.
Deauville is a classy sort, but I think FOLKSWOOD could be hard to peg back round these bends for Godolphin.
The selection couldn’t quite hold on at Newmarket last time in the Earl of Sefton.
But this track might suit better.

Next up is a handicap over an extended 7f at 3.00pm, and I’ll have a few quid each-way on REBEL DE LOPE, who was fairly well beaten at Sandown last time in the Esher Cup but can do better.
He will stay on strongly in this event and Jamie Spencer takes the mount once again.
Matt Chapman's TV Tips
1.50 Chester – Khairaat
2.25 Chester – Folkswood
3.00 Chester – Rebel De Lope
3.35 Chester – The Anvil
Finally, it’s the Group 3 Chester Vase at 3.35pm, and I’m backing THE ANVIL each-way for Aidan O’Brien.
The selection was very good in the Royal Lodge last season, and while he might look like a second string with Ryan Moore on Venice Beach he can run a big one.
So let’s hope for a big day and plenty of Yeeehaaas!
