BORUSSIA DORTMUND have denied reports they’ve reached an agreement to re-sign Mario Gotze from Bayern Munich.
The playmaker looks destined to rejoin his former club after leaving them for the Allianz Arena in 2013.

Gotze became the most expensive German player of all time when his £31million release clause was met by Pep Guardiola, although his record was swiftly broken by Arsenal’s £42m move for Real Madrid’s Mesut Ozil in the same transfer window.
Knowing that he risked the wrath of Dortmund fans worldwide, Gotze still decided to make the swap to their fierce rivals – but things haven’t quite worked out as planned.
Gotze quickly went from being a key player at Dortmund to becoming a squad player at Bayern, with most of his appearances coming from the bench.
The 24-year-old made featured just 14 times in the Bundesliga last season, and new boss Carlo Ancelotti has decided to call time on his Bavarian adventure.

There was also strong interest from Tottenham too, with Mauricio Pochettino twice speaking to Gotze’s father about a potential move to White Hart Lane.
Arsenal and Chelsea were also said to be keen, but it appears a move back to Dortmund is imminent after Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “He’s been here for three years and it’s not worked out.

“I wouldn’t say a deal has been struck, but I can confirm that there have been talks with Borussia Dortmund as well as his agent.”
But Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke insists that a deal for Gotze is far from complete, with Thomas Tuchel’s side still examining their own financial situation.
Watze said: “We have not reached an agreement with anyone, including the player. It has to be financially feasible for us.”
