Marcus Rashford watch: How did the England teenager get on in his first ever competitive international match against Wales in Euro 2016 Group B?

MARCUS RASHFORD catalysed a turn-around in England’s Euro 2016 hopes with an incredible 19-minute cameo.

After replacing the abject Raheem Sterling – who appears desperate to turn his ‘Hated One’ into a trademark with performances like this – the Manchester United man lit up the left flank and tragically was about the only attacking talent not involved in the winning goal as Roy Hodgson’s side went on to beat Wales 2-1.

The 18-year-old made his competitive international debut on 73 minutes by replacing the impressive Adam Lallana – 112 days after making his Red Devils debut.

He then became the youngest player at Euro 2016 and the youngest England player at any Euros.

74min he showed his age, losing the ball after a pass from Danny Rose and then committing a foul out of youthful petulance.

76 bounced a throw with Danny Rose to get the ball moving. Pressed Wales high on England’s left wing.

78 terrorised Chris Gunter who had made Raheem Sterling look like a middle-aged pub player.

82 wrestled Joe Allen for the ball and forced the Liverpool man into an error.

82 amazing back-heel after dropping in to maturely fill in for Dele Alli who had run into his space up the left wing.

84 played a genius one-two with Alli that set the Spurs man up for a shot and then tried a similar move of his own but the return pass to him around the edge of Welsh box let him down.

86 Cruyff turn away from Ramsey and fed Wayne Rooney who drove at the black wall but couldn’t bulldoze through it.

89 minutes was probably his lowest ebb after he collected a clever pass but let Welsh titan Ashley Williams disarm him with typically quality play from the Swansea man.

91 we played the human decoy down to a tee. The goal was created down the left side he had made all his own.

But it was Danny Rose, Jamie Vardy and Dele Alli who all linked up to provide Sturridge with the incredible winning goal.

On 93 minutes understandably overawed by the enormity of what he achieved he seemed to just run the ball out of play.
