Marcus Rashford’s last-gasp winner against Anderlecht was his first goal in European football since his Manchester United debut
MANCHESTER UNITED were left indebted to Marcus Rashford once again as he kept the club’s Europa League dream alive.
With a top four spot in the Premier League looking increasingly unlikely, winning the tournament would be the most likely way back into the Champions League.

United’s finishing on the evening was dreadful to say the least, but with the game deep into extra-time Rashford popped up to send Jose Mourinho‘s men into the semi-final pot.
Incredibly though, his 107th-minute strike was his FIRST European goal since his debut against FC Midtjylland back in February 2016.

That day, Rashford was a last-minute inclusion in the starting XI due to a warm-up injury sustained by Anthony Martial.
Unknown to the majority of the nation, the local lad scored twice in his first ever senior game as United went on to win 5-1.
However, in nine Europa League games since then - two against Liverpool and a further two against Feyenoord and St Etienne, as well as a game apiece against Anderlecht and Zorya Luhansk, Rashford had drawn a blank.

The England man had started in eight of those games but struggled to get his shots off, let alone find the back of the net.
But United fans won't mind that at all, as the youngster - who relishes the big games - ended his drought to book his side a place in the last-four in Europe.
