Manchester United transfer news: Victor Lindelof set to be announced as new signing this week in £30million deal

MANCHESTER UNITED intend to announce the signing of highly-rated Benfica defender Victor Lindelof.

After being strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford in January, the Sweden international finally looks set to seal a move to the Premier League giants.

According to Correio da Manha, his move to Man Utd will be confirmed once Sweden have taken on France in a World Cup qualifier on June 9.

Despite these strong rumours, Lindelof has kept quiet on his future.

He told VLT: “There are rumours that there is always, at all times.

“I will say the same thing I always do, I have a contract with Benfica.

“I have played there for five years and really enjoy myself.

“I’m still young and I feel I’m developing all of the time, football down there gives me a lot.

“So my answer will always be that I get on very well at Benfica and that’s where my focus is.”

It was previously reported the transfer would cost United £30million.
