MANCHESTER UNITED have missed out on Boca Juniors star Rodrigo Bentancur thanks to former striker Carlos Tevez.
The Red Devils were hoping to land the talented Argentine midfielder, but he is now heading to Juventus instead.

The Italians have won the race for Bentancur's signature thanks to a first-option agreement with Boca, which was struck when Tevez left Turin and returned to his former side in 2015.
Juventus are at the front of the queue for Boca players until April 2017, and they've decided to take advantage by snapping up half of Bentancur's rights for over £6million.
The 19-year-old prodigy is considered to be one of Argentina's finest young prospects, and he also had offers from Real Madrid and AC Milan.
Jose Mourinho was hopeful of adding Bentancur to the ranks as he looks to reshape United's youth teams, and now has to contend with two snubs after Valencia youngster Fran Villalba rejected an Old Trafford switch in favour of signing a new contract.
