The Frenchman was flattened in the build-up to the Hornets' first goal after taking a blow to the head earlier in the game.

Confirming the news, Mourinho said: “Martial is not available. You are wrong because you say concussion."

Mourinho has been in the news a lot recently after comments he reportedly made threatening to break Arsene Wenger's face.

But the Special One did not address claims made in a new book - choosing instead to focus on the game.

He had another pop and the pundits and players who have had a go at him once again labelling them ‘Einsteins.’

He added: "The Einsteins need money to live, they can't coach, they can't sit on the bench, they can't win matches.

"They can speak, they can write, they can criticise the work of other people, but I am a good man. I am good man of goodwill. I do lots of charity, I help so many people, so why not also feed the Einsteins? That's fine."

Manchester United team: David De Gea, Antonio Valencia, Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly, Daley Blind, Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
