But SunSport understands he was offered the chance to play against Holland in next week’s first team Pittodrie friendly.
However, the Lancaster-born youngster has rejected the approach because he wants to see if he is selected by England.
The 6ft 4in ace made his first Manchester United start against Crystal Palace in May and started last week’s League Cup win at Swansea.
SunSport understands Scotland Under-21 coach Scot Gemmill and interim national boss Malky Mackay have made attempts to convince the product of the Old Trafford youth system to play for the country of his dad’s birth.

Talks have taken place with both the player and his family — to no avail.
But the SFA are refusing to give up and hope to convince him to play in the Scottish set-up.
Mourinho praised McTominay’s performance on Tuesday night.
And the Special One took the chance to sing his own praises about promoting young players, using the example of Dominic Solanke during his time at Chelsea.
Mourinho said: “In Chelsea, I selected the youngest player ever to play in the Champions League, I think, in Dominic Solanke.
“With a manager who never gives a chance to young guys.
“I am very happy for Scott, he has great stability and great personality.”
