A MANCHESTER UNITED season-ticket holder of over 30 years has been banned from away games for a year – after he didn’t tell the club he was ill.
Graeme Clarke, 58, felt unwell on the morning of United’s clash with Hull City and didn’t attend the game as a result.

But in failing to notify the club, he has now being banned from applying for away tickets for 12 months.
According to the Mail, a letter dated September 23 was sent to Graeme which told him that due to him failing to notify the ticket office that he wouldn’t be attending the game, he would have his right to away tickets revoked.

It read: “Although we understand circumstances may occur where you are unable to attend a game you have purchased a ticket for, you are able to cancel your ticket and receive a refund via our contact centre.
“The club has worked extensively with the FA, Police and a number of local authorities to increase the allocation of match tickets we receive, and with thousands of unsuccessful applicants for each game, and we want to ensure each allocated ticket is used.”
