Manchester United’s Paul Pogba may be the world’s most expensive player, but he’s only second favourite to be named PFA Player of the Year

MANCHESTER UNITED new-boy Paul Pogba may be the world’s most expensive player, but he’s only second favourite to be named PFA Player of the Year for 2016-17.

That’s right, Jose Mourinho, Ed Woodward and Co may have shelled out £109million to bring the French midfielder to Old Trafford, but according to the bookies, he won’t even be the best player in the Premier League this term.

French star Pogba, 23, is 10/1 to win the annual gong, alongside fellow United newbie Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Argentine star, 28, is the 8/1 favourite to take the PotY crown.
