MANCHESTER UNITED add to Mats Hummels’ suspicions after the Bayern Munich defender believes Henrikh Mkhitaryan is guaranteed the goal of the month award.
The Armenian won the April award after his strike against Sunderland, meaning he claimed the award for the fourth time in the last five months.

And after Manchester United had announced the winner of the competition, they went out of their way to contact the midfielder’s former Borussia Dortmund team-mate.
Their encounter on Twitter came after Hummels tweeted Mkhitaryan after he had thanked the fans after winning the Goal of the Month award in March.
Hummels wrote: “Come on, it’s like the 8th time you win this.
“Do they even nominate other players or do you just decide which goal you want to win with?”
And after he did won the award AGAIN, Manchester United responded with: “Well this is awkward.”

Mkhitaryan previously won the award in December for a scorpion kick, a strike against Wigan in January, before his effort against Leicester won the February award.
His run of winning the tournament was interrupted by Jesse Lingard after he carried the ball forward before firing it into the top corner against Middlesbrough.
Mkhitaryan has bagged ten goals since arriving in the summer – with four of them winning goal of the month awards at Old Trafford.
