Manchester United news: Bastian Schweinsteiger hit with parking ticket on day out with wife Ana Ivanovic and Man City’s Aleksandar Kolarov

IT’S not just Jose Mourinho who seems to have it in for Bastian Schweinsteiger these days.

Out with his wife, the tennis ace Ana Ivanovic, the Manchester United outcast was hit with a parking ticket…not that he seemed to mind.

United’s out-of-favour midfielder and his new wife were having lunch out with Aleksandar Kolarov from rivals Manchester City, and left their £100,000 Range Rover Sport partly on the pavement for nearly two hours in Hale Village town centre on Wednesday afternoon.

The couple came back from their lunch with City’s Kolarov and his wife, Vesna, to find he had incurred the £60 fine. They didn’t seem to mind though, as Ivanovic planted a kiss on her husband’s cheek.

Schweinsteiger, 32, was spotted ripping the ticket off his windscreen, before jumping in with Ivanovic and driving home.

The Germany midfielder has had this week off, following his international retirement, and has instead been training on his own at United’s Carrington HQ.

It is widely expected he will leave Old Trafford in January, having been totally frozen out of the first team by Mourinho.
