MANCHESTER UNITED goalkeeper Sergio Romero will miss the World Cup with a knee injury.
The Argentine shot-stopper has been ruled out of the entire tournament in Russia.

Argentina’s official Twitter feed released a statement revealing the heart-breaking news for the 31-year-old.
It read: “Sergio Romero suffered today a joint blockage in his right knee that will leave him out of the squad.”
Romero was one of three goalkeepers in Argentina’s squad alongside Willy Caballero and Franco Armani.
He played in Manchester United‘s final Premier League game of the season against Watford on May 13.

But Romero will be devastated to miss the World Cup, which begins on June 14 with hosts Russia taking on Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan star Mauro Icardi suffered his own heartbreak when he was axed from the squad.
‘PART OF THE FAMILY’ Emery appears to confirm his arrival at Arsenal
Despite being Serie A’s top scorer, the 25-year-old has not done enough to receive the call from boss Jorge Sampaoli.
Argentina begin their campaign against Iceland in Moscow on June 16. They will also face Croatia and Nigeria in Group D.
