The Manchester Evening News report that United coaches are now casting their expert eye over Martinelli, who plays for Brazilian club Ituano, before deciding on whether to hand him a contract.
The teenager came on for Nishan Burkart and played the last half hour at Sincil Bank.
It was the first time a United team has played at Lincoln City in more than 60 years – and a crowd of more than 2,000 was there to watch.
Millen Baars and Brandon Williams scored the goals.
Mourinho’s squad have now finished their five-game tour of the US and will fly back to Europe this weekend.
