Manchester United finally set to complete world record move for Paul Pogba as player undergoes LA medical

MANCHESTER UNITED are on the verge on completing a world record deal to sign Paul Pogba with the player set to undergo a medical in Los Angeles.

Pogba’s deal to Old Trafford has been the ongoing transfer saga of the summer but it looks likely that the deal will soon be tied up after Juventus accepted a £112million bid.

According to Gazzetta, the Frenchman who is set to earn £290,000-a-week, could complete his medical in LA on Friday before putting pen-to-paper on a long-term deal.

The move had been put on hold after Mino Raiola demanded £20m in agent fees but it is believed that United will stump up the whole cost.

The midfielder has been spending his time off in America and recently published a cryptic post on his Instagram filling his supercar with petrol before heading down Route 66.

Pogba is set to become Jose Mourinho's fourth major summer signing after he announced that a host of players will leave United before the transfer window shuts.

Mourinho is hoping that the 23-year-old will be available to make his debut against Leicester in the Community Shield on August 7.

It would complete a remarkable return for Pogba after leaving United on a free transfer in the summer of 2012.

During that period the towering midfielder has established himself as one of the most talented players in the world, guiding Juventus to four Serie A titles.
