Manchester United fan tweets pic of his new ‘Griezmann 7’ away shirt… just as the striker snubs Old Trafford

A MANCHESTER UNITED fan has shown the worst timing ever by tweeting a picture of his new “Griezmann 7” shirt – just as the Atletico Madrid star snubbed Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho was clearly not the only person in Manchester who felt sure the France striker would accept his £300,000-a-week, take-it-or-leave-it offer.

And now United supporter “Felli” @FellainiFC is being teased on social media for his gear gaffe.

He tweeted two photos of his new black away top, saying: “My new Man Utd kit has arrived”.

And he added love hearts on smile emoticons to confirm his excitement.

But Griezmann promptly took to social media to state: “Now more than ever #Atleti #AllTogether.”

And that left Felli under gentle fire from other fans.

Austin Haas tweeted:  "Hahahah dude he's staying at athletico." (Austin added the hashtag #drunkmanufan - which might explain his spelling of Atletico.)

And Rashy simpley tweeted: "Oh no."

Now Felli must hope his fortune improves as quickly as it did for his apparent United hero Marouane Fellaini, who became a regular starter and one of Mourinho's Europa League-winning heroes.
