MANCHESTER UNITED youngster Angel Gomes posted an inspirational picture of himself with Wayne Rooney ten years ago.
Gomes, 16, became the first player born in the new millennium to play in the Premier League when he replaced captain Rooney yesterday.

And the London-born kid, who has been at United since he was six-years-old, uploaded a photo to Instagram to highlight his journey.
Alongside a snap of himself with a 21-year-old Rooney, he wrote: “Ten years later, anything is possible. #Godswill #Mondaymotivation”
Gomes won United’s Youth Team Player of the Year award on Tuesday.
The skillful No10 – who is cousins with ex-Red Devils ace Nani – was unable to make much of a difference against Crystal Palace, but still finished his Prem debut with a 2-0 win.

"I’ve been here since the age of six, working my way up and it’s what everyone dreams about.
"I just want to thank the manager for putting me on the bench and playing me today, and all the staff back at the club and everyone who has helped me.

"I’m from Manchester, Salford and it’s literally down the road. It’s just unbelievable."
Fellow youngster Josh Harrop, 21, enjoyed a dream debut, scoring just 15 minutes into the Old Trafford clash.
