Manchester United consider Ryan Sessegnon move as race for Fulham prodigy hots up
MANCHESTER UNITED have joined the race to sign Fulham prodigy Ryan Sessegnon.
The 16-year-old is regarded as one of the best young prospects in the country and has already established himself as a first team regular less than a year after leaving school.
Liverpool have been long-term admirers of the left-back while Arsenal and Manchester City have also made their interest in him known.

But now United have made contact with the Championship promotion hopefuls as they look to rebuild their squad at Old Trafford.
Tottenham are another of the Premier League giants to be watching the teenager, who has been compared to Gareth Bale who started his career as a full-back at Southampton.

There is almost certain to be a summer auction for the services of Sessegnon, who was named in the Championship team of the year after taking the professional game by storm.
Fulham have already turned down two bids from Arsenal for the defender, according to The Mirror, but they may find it harder to keep hold of him ahead of next season.

They could boost their chances hugely if they can come through the Championship play-offs and secure promotion to the Premier League.
Yet they know the big clubs are circling and have the kind of spending power that would make it hard to keep hold of their prize asset.

Both United and Liverpool are in the market for a left-back this summer, and despite his age Sessegnon’s performances this season have shown he could make the step up to the top flight.
One option would be for Fulham to agree to sell, and then agree a season-long loan deal to keep him at Craven Cottage for another 12 months to help with his development.
