RONALD KOEMAN is actively pursuing a sale of star midfielder Ross Barkley in order to fund a double-swoop for Manchester United outcasts Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin.

But it is thought Mauricio Pochettino is keen on a move for Barkley as he looks to add more quality in his midfield to support an at times isolated Harry Kane, giving Koeman hope that he could finally move for long-term targets Depay and Schneiderlin.
The move is expected to spark a merry-go-round in the January window with a host of teams – all under new management in the summer – looking to further place their imprint on the squad.
