MANCHESTER UNITED announced they have reached an agreement to sign Victor Lindelof from Benfica.
The defender is believed to cost the Red Devils £35million as Jose Mourinho appears to have secured his first signing of the summer.
Manchester United wrote in a statement: “Manchester United is pleased to announce that it has reached agreement with Benfica for the transfer of Victor Lindelof, subject to a medical examination, international clearance and personal terms.
“A further announcement will be made once the transfer is complete.”
SunSport exclusively revealed that the 22-year-old is expected to sign for the Red Devils on Wednesday.
Lindelof is currently on international duty with Sweden and then he is flying straight to Manchester to have his medical before signing a five-year deal.

A source told SunSport: “It’s a done deal. There are some very minor things to wrap up and of course the medical.
“He hasn’t wanted to allow the move to distract him from Sweden duty but he will be flying straight to Manchester after the game in Oslo on Tuesday and then undergoing his medical.”
Lindelof came through the ranks at IK Franke in his homeland before moving to Vasteras and signing for Benfica in 2012.

With Lindelof’s arrival imminent, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been released by Manchester United.
Despite this, the big Swede hinted he has more to offer to football after he posted a video of himself wearing his football boots in bed.
