A TON up for one, a ton off for another and Paul Pogba strutting his stuff again – no wonder Jose Mourinho looked more than happy with life once more.
Romelu Lukaku set the ball rolling by breaking through the century barrier of Premier League goals to set Manchester United on the way.

Romelu Lukaku fired in the opener after just five minutes for United

Then Alexis Sanchez managing a strike from open play at last and effectively wrapping up the points before we had even reached half-time.
And it will be the latter which really pleased manager Mourinho, after such a tortuous start to life at Old Trafford for the Chile forward.
It was Sanchez’ trickery saw him find Lukaku with the cute pass that the Belgian deposited in the corner via a touch off Alfie Mawson just four minutes in.
And 15 minutes later he was on the scoresheet himself, burying Jesse Lingard’s superbly slid pass in the bottom corner, albeit after some shoddy defending.

It was only the second goal Sanchez has scored since his move from Arsenal, and the first from open play, given his other striker had been from the rebound of his own saved penalty.
More to the point, it was a gigantic weight off his back after all the criticism he has taken over the past few weeks.

United could have had at least a couple more, besides, with the outstanding Lingard going close, and Sanchez nodding another awkward effort over the top.
And the added bonus came with the sight of Pogba, back in the starting line-up, showing glimpses he is steadily getting back to his best.

At least Swansea went down with something of a fight when substitute Tammy Abraham brought two fantastic saves from David De Gea in the space of a minute.
The Swans were a different side with the lively Abraham leading the attack and the previously isolate Andre Ayew some support.
But United were never in any serious danger of letting it slip, as they ensured Liverpool’s rise to second spot lasted no more than a couple of hours.
