Manchester United 1 Liverpool 1 player ratings: Who was the star man as fierce rivals played out Old trafford draw

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC saved Paul Pogba’s blushes by scoring a late equaliser for Manchester United in a tightly contested encounter with Liverpool.

Pogba gifted Liverpool the lead in the first half as he hand-balled from a corner, which led to former Manchester City midfielder James Milner firing the resulting penalty in to the net.

Fans blasted the world record signing  for his lacklustre performance in which he looked totally out of his depth, struggling to keep up with the high intensity of the match.

Jose Mourinho changed his team at half-time bringing on club captain and all time goal record chaser Wayne Rooney in an attempt to get the equaliser and possible winner.

Liverpool will be disappointed that they could not see out the result, which would have taken them back to second in the table and five points behind Chelsea.

Manchester City's 4-0 thrashing by Everton at Goodison Park meant a victory for Man United would have seen them go level on points with their City rivals.
