IT’S no secret that Pep Guardiola is a huge admirer of Thiago Alcantara.
The Spanish boss wanted to sign the midfielder for Manchester City last summer after bringing him to Bayern Munich from Barcelona.

But any hopes Guardiola had of landing Thiago have been dashed after the playmaker sensationally ditched his agent Pere Guardiola.
Pep’s brother – who also boasts Luis Suarez as a client – played a key role in getting Thiago to quit boyhood club Barca for a big-money move to Germany in 2013.
But the 25-year-old has decided to cut all links with the Guardiolas, instead opting to be represented by dad Mazinho.
The ex-Brazil international is also father and agent to Barcelona ace Rafinha, and is the uncle of Valencia forward Rodrigo.
