Manchester City transfer news: Claudio Bravo to sign at the end of the week when Jasper Cillessen joins Barcelona

JASPER CILLESSEN will undergo a medical at Barcelona after his match on Wednesday meaning Claudio Bravo to Manchester City will be completed by the end of the week.

The Dutch keeper has agreed a £12million deal to sign for the Spanish giants but Ajax want him to play in their crucial Champions League playoff clash against FC Rostov on Wednesday.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Cillessen will complete his medical on Thursday before finalising his deal in a move that will push through Bravo’s transfer to Pep Guardiola’s side.

A fee and personal terms have been agreed for the sale of Bravo but Barcelona have held the deal until they sign a replacement with keeper Marc-Ander Stegen on the treatment table with a knee injury.

Cillessen’s transfer will spark a keeper merry-go-round with out-of-favour Joe Hart set to be shown the exit door.

The England stopper has been told he is free to leave the Etihad having failed to impress Guardiola with his ability to play the ball using his feet.

Everton and Sevilla remain interested in Hart but Maarten Stekelenburg's impressive recent performances for the Toffees have given manager Ronald Koeman something to think about.
