SERGIO AGUERO has been ruled out of Manchester City’s Champions League first-leg clash against Liverpool.
The Argentine striker has been sidelined with a knee injury he picked up in training at the beginning of March.

The 29-year-old was in a race to be fit to take on the Reds on Wednesday night.
But he wasn’t involved in training with the rest of his team-mates on Tuesday as Guardiola revealed the Liverpool tie has come too soon.
The Spanish boss did admit that Aguero could be in contention to face rivals Manchester United in their title showdown at the weekend.
Guardiola revealed: “He [Aguero] is still in Manchester. We will see if he can play in the derby.
“It is his [Jesus’] 21st birthday he doesn’t get tired. He has played a lot of games because Sergio has been injury.

“Aguero is much much better with the physio. But he cannot stay here.”
The Spanish boss previously admitted that Aguero was unlikely to be fit to start against Jose Mourinho’s men but is hopeful to name him on the bench.
Benjamin Mendy remains a long term absentee but the rest of Guardiola’s stars are pushing for to start at Anfield.

He added: “Both teams try to play. Both teams have scored the most goals in the Premier League this season.
“I’m pretty sure tomorrow will be a good game.”
