MANCHESTER CITY stars boarded their private jet ahead of a ridiculous 20-minute flight, rather than risk the two-and-a-half hour train on day of rail disruption.
On Wednesday morning, Pep Guardiola led his players on board the to avoid the post-Christmas chaos by air.

Roads are expected to be busy as many wind down their Christmas celebrations and get back to reality.
Meanwhile, trains across the country are being cancelled, diverted and delayed, with stations closed due to festive period engineering.
In order to get the pampered stars up to Newcastle for Wednesday night’s game on time, the squad opted to make the pathetically short flight north.
Manchester United legend and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville on the other hand has opted to drive.

Neville tweeted: “Right !!! A 3 hour drive to St James Park to do the Newcastle v Man City game.
“I’ve got a feeling my “ Festive Football “ will continue to get worse… Join us for a 7pm ( I think build up ) on SS1..”

The Etihad side are also aiming to equal the record for English top-flight away wins, 11, set by Chelsea in 2008.
So far in 2017, Man City have scored 101 goals – the first top-division side to do so, since Liverpool netted 106 times in 1982.
En route, the Premier League leaders have scored two or more goals in their last 12 league matches.

Speaking ahead of the St James’ Park showdown, Guardiola said: “Our lives are better when we win. But it’s not like I am going to sleep thinking if I am going to break a record.
“I could not see Newcastle during Christmas time, so I am going to sit down with my staff and try to discover what they do.”
Meanwhile, Guardiola credits this season’s success down to work-rate, adding: “I said many times, even last season, we run a lot.
“As a manager I am good on that. I am able to let them run with high intensity.”
