Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus set to miss pre-season matches on US tour to help recover from eye socket injury

The 20-year-old hitman, who scored seven times in just eight starts following his move from Palmeiras, was hurt in an aerial challenge with Manchester City team-mate Nicolas Otamendi of Argentina.
City face neighbours United at the NRG Stadium in Houston on July 20.
Jesus told television channel Esp_Interativ that he won’t be fit to play for another three weeks.
But he also reassured City fans that he won’t have to undergo an operation for the injury.
“I won’t have to have an operation,” he said. “I should be back within three weeks.
“Many thanks to all the fans for the support and love. Thanks to Dr Pagura and his team.”
