Garcia is expected to earn around £750,000 during his three-years in England – an offer that can’t be matched by Barcelona.

The move is set to cause more anger from Barcelona after City attempted to sign three of their youth prospects earlier this year.

Deals for Pablo Moreno, Nico Gonzalez and Ansu Fati all reportedly fell through.

City have moved quickly in the transfer market to splash out a world record £34.7million fee in goalkeeper Ederson from Barcelona.

They are also thought to be on the verge on finalising a deal to land Monaco ace Benjamin Mendy in a £39.8m move.
