MANCHESTER CITY boss Pep Guardiola has won the Premier League Manager of the Month award for a record fourth time in a row.
The Spanish boss, 47, clinched December’s award – to go with those earned in September, October and November.

No manager had ever won the award four times on the bounce, with Antonio Conte’s three in a row in between October and December 2016 the previous record.
Guardiola has led City to a remarkable 15-point lead at the top of the Premier League, winning 20 of their 22 matches.
In December, the league-leaders won six of their seven games – beating West Ham, Manchester United, Swansea, Tottenham, Bournemouth and Newcastle.
Their sole draw was the goalless encounter away to Crystal Palace on New Year’s Eve.

Guardiola topped the six-man shortlist, including Sam Allardyce, Conte, Roy Hodgson, Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino to break the record.
The Spaniard’s four in a row take his overall tally to five Manager of the Month awards… meaning he still has a way to go to break the overall record.
