Man United vs Zorya Luhansk team news: Wayne Rooney? Zlatan Ibrahimovic? Luke Shaw? Who is in the side and who is out?

JOSE MOURINHO is yet to decide if he will play Wayne Rooney against Zorya Luhansk in the Champions League tomorrow night.

Rooney has had a back problem and Mourinho does not want to play him unless he is fully fit because of the criticism he might receive.

Mourinho said: ““He did just a little bit of the session on Monday. He had a back problem.

“So today was the first time he had a training session with the other players and today it was a training session where the intensity and complexity is obviously reducing because we have a game.

“So I was completely convinced of playing him from the beginning.with this situation in the last couple of days, but I am not sure if I do that because of the situation you created with him.

“He can’t afford to have a performance that is not really good.

“Because I am here to protect him and not to put him in difficult situations I have to analyse whether the best thing for him is to start the game if he is not totally ready for it.”

Rooney faces a straight shoot-out for the final place on the team-sheet with Armenian ace Henrikh Mkhitaryan, 27.

The duo are expected to both compete for the No10 spot in the Special One’s chosen XI – a position currently held in the Prem by Spaniard Juan Mata.

The position just behind the striker is expected to be the place where Roo has most chance of breaking back in, however, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rashford in top form up front and Paul Pogba excelling his midfield role at the weekend alongside Ander Herrera.

Luke Shaw has a virus and is out.

Though Anthony Martial has recovered from his ankle contusion picked up against Watford and is available to play.
