Man United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s face recreated in gigantic mosaic of shirts by Sky Sports’ Rachel Riley and Jeff Stelling

SOME would say that Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s personality is larger than life.

And Sky Sports have paid tribute to the Manchester United star ahead of his first competitive appearance at Old Trafford by creating a gigantic mosaic of his face – entirely out of shirts!

Ibrahimovic is set to start for Jose Mourinho’s side against Southampton tonight, and Friday Night Football hosts Jeff Stelling and Rachel Riley can’t wat to see him in action.

The pair joined a group of artists as 1200 shirts were placed down to replicate Ibrahimovic’s head.

Using a grid system, 800 ground markers over 400 square metres, it took the team hours to complete their masterpiece.

And United fan Riley will be hoping it brings Ibra some luck when he takes to the field in front of the Stretford faithful later tonight.

The veteran Swede joined the Red Devils on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in July, signing a one-year contract in the process.

However, Ibra looks set to stay for a second year at the Theatre of Dreams after already helping himself to two competitive goals under The Special One.

The 34-year-old scored the winner against Leicester in the Community Shield Final at Wembley earlier this month and fired home on his Premier League debut in the 3-1 victory over Bournemouth last weekend.
